Reruns 03:28
We need a night with the ones we love Let’s get out, get out, get out And hit the city ‘Cause we’re the type who could do too much Who could work without a break Pile in, yeah In my dad’s van Hit the theatre And watch it all again We’re gonna remember the good times We’re gonna remember the good nights Come on, come on Come on, come on It’s all about the reruns Come on, come on Come on, come on It’s all about the reruns So live and let it play again We need a night where it all goes black ‘Cause we’re going, going, going too fast There’s a place where they know our names And I’m dying to go back Pile in, yeah When we get there Seen the movie But we don’t care We’re gonna remember the good times We’re gonna remember the good nights Come on, come on Come on, come on It’s all about the reruns Come on, come on Come on, come on It’s all about the reruns So live and let it play again Memories and silver screens Man, I needed a night like this, yeah Come on, come on Come on, come on It’s all about the reruns Come on, come on Come on, come on It’s all about the reruns, yeah Come on, come on Come on, come on It’s all about the reruns Come on, come on Come on, come on It’s all about the reruns So live and let it play Live and let it play again

I'm With You 03:04
We’ve come so close to calling it off I’ll admit I’ve had my second thoughts Bend in the road don’t look the same When a headlight’s out and I see your name Light up my cell phone I know I shouldn’t but I gotta know What’s on your mind So tell me about it I’m with you Even when you’re miles away Tell me about it I’m with you You know I’m always with you baby We’ve come a long way since the start Even though the road is winding I’ll find my way to where you are So take your time, and tell me What’s on your mind Tell me about it I’m with you Even when you’re miles away Tell me about it I’m with you You know I’m always with you baby The small things All the little victories I hear your voice and then I’m home Tell me about it I’m with you Even when you’re miles away Tell me about it I’m with you You know I’m always with you baby

Running Out 03:42
Left you in a hurry but I don’t wanna bury The time we spent looking better For each other in the mirror Woa-oh Seven in the morning Have you seen my wallet I don’t know How do you do it Better find it, where’d you leave it Are we losing track of the little things ‘Cause I’m Running out of the door without Keys in my pocket Praying you don’t lock it Running out of the door without Keys in my pocket Praying you don’t lock me out Woa-oh oh woah oh Woa-oh oh woah oh Sipping on a latte Running through the replay Better days when we didn’t ever Have to think about it Woa-oh Roll to the runway Put away your cell phone I love you But I know that I’ll forget it Never send it Woa-oh Are we losing track of the little things ‘Cause I’m Running out of the door without Keys in my pocket Praying you don’t lock it Running out of the door without Keys in my pocket Praying you don’t lock me out Woa-oh oh woah oh Woa-oh oh woah oh The little things are the big things The little things are the big things The little things are the big things And I don’t wanna forget Oh oh oh oh No-oh-oh And I don’t wanna forget And I don’t wanna forget Oh oh oh oh No-oh-oh And I don’t wanna forget No-oh I’m running out of the door without Keys in my pocket Praying you don’t lock it Running out of the door without Keys in my pocket Praying you don’t lock me out Running out of the door without Keys in my pocket Praying you don’t lock it Running out of the door without Keys in my pocket Praying you don’t lock me out Woa-oh oh woah oh Woa-oh oh woah oh

Trigger 04:25
I ain’t seen a lot of peace in the days I’ve traveled Woah, Woah I’ve got blood on my teeth from the latest battle Woah, Woah And I swore to you I’d never hold another gun But my finger’s on the trigger And I’m coming undone I swore to you I’d never do what I done Woah Baby, don’t you know I’m trying I’m trying And you know I’ve fallen down Woah Baby, don’t you know I’m trying To balance my promises Balance my promises without falling down I ain’t seen a lot of hope in the days I’ve traveled Living on the edge of a shotgun barrel And I swore to you I’d never go too far But the bullet’s in the chamber In the back of my car I swore to you I’d never go this far Woah Baby, don’t you know I’m trying I’m trying And you know I’ve fallen down Woah Baby, don’t you know I’m trying To balance my promises Balance my promises without falling down Been looking back over my shoulder But now I’m laying my arms down Woah Baby, don’t you know I’m trying I’m trying And you know I’ve fallen down Woah Baby, don’t you know I’m trying To balance my promises Balance my promises Balance my promises Balance my promises without falling down

Telegram 03:36
I been writing letters You never check your mailbox Trying to forget ya Getting tired of the ticking clocks And I been running ‘round The edges of my teenage town Every day a little older But I’m never getting over The way you played around You think I need you You think I need you You think I need you Send my love in a telegram Send it on the wire Played my heart like a theremin Say that I’m a liar But you’re playing with fire, baby I been growing tired Of going nowhere fast Packing up my suitcase And never looking back You and I were never right And I should’ve known You’re cold to the touch With a heart of stone You think I need you You think I need you You think I need you Send my love in a telegram Send it on the wire Played my heart like a theremin Say that I’m a liar But you’re playing with fire, baby Send my love in a telegram Send it on the wire Played my heart like a theremin Say that I’m a liar But you’re playing with fire, baby Send my love in a telegram Send it on the wire Played my heart like a theremin Say that I’m a liar But you’re playing with fire, baby

about

The first track on our debut Memories EP, entitled “Reruns,” is intentionally written from a first-person perspective using “we.” The whole audience is included from the get-go: “We need a night with the ones we love, let’s get out, get out, get out, and hit the city.” The lyrics simply invite the crowd to take it easy and enjoy a night with good friends, which is hopefully the experience each one will take away from a show with The Passport. Then, when it is appropriate, a different light can be cast lyrically, such as in our song “Telegram,” which talks of moving on from a heartbreak. The protagonist promises to “send my love in a telegram, send it on the wire. Played my heart like a Theremin, say that I’m a liar, but you’re playing with fire, baby.” The key thing about the message of each song is that it has a time and a place. Overall, we aim to be realistic and hopeful with our songs, to spotlight those greatest elements of being human.
